Understanding the Need

Reasons for Food Insecurity in Malaysia

In Malaysia, approximately 5.6% of households live below the poverty line, with significantly higher rates in rural areas and among indigenous communities. Your support breaks this cycle. By feeding a family, you provide stability that allows parents to seek employment, children to attend school, and households to plan beyond just surviving each day.

Feed a Family Today

About the Campaign

Why Feed a Family?

Food insecurity doesn't just mean hunger—it means children missing school, families skipping meals, parents sacrificing their own health to feed their children, and entire communities unable to break free from poverty's grip.

Your support breaks this cycle. By feeding a family, you provide stability that allows parents to seek employment, children to attend school, and households to plan beyond just surviving each day.

Campaign Objective

Our goal is to provide six months of food security for over 600 families living in extreme poverty.

Each food pack, valued at RM250, is stocked with essential staples and daily necessities. Families receive three packs across three cycles (RM750 per family in total), ensuring 6 months of food security.

  • Bakery goods
  • Beverages
  • Cooking oil and condiments
  • Dairy products

Your Questions Answered

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How will the funds be used?

100% of Feed a Family donations purchase food items, packaging materials, and delivery logistics for the specified families. Each RM250 provides a complete food pack containing rice, cooking oil, proteins, milk powder, and other essentials—enough to sustain a family for approximately 2 months.

  • What happens to any excess funds?

If we exceed our campaign target, excess funds will support the next round of Feed a Family beneficiaries or be directed to our general Food Bank programme to help additional families on our waiting list. We never divert funds to unrelated programmes without donor consent.

  • Can my company sponsor multiple families as CSR?

Yes! Corporate sponsorships are welcome and encouraged. Companies can sponsor multiple families and receive comprehensive impact reports for CSR documentation.

  • Can I visit the families I'm supporting?

Due to privacy and dignity considerations, direct visits to beneficiary homes aren't typically arranged. However, you're welcome to join our general distribution days as a volunteer, where you can witness food pack delivery and meet beneficiaries in group settings.
