Join 90% of KSK's workforce as a volunteer. Help feed the hungry, rescue surplus food, and empower communities across Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Perak, Melaka & Johor.
As one of our largest communities, the Klang Valley hub features a diverse range of volunteer opportunities to help you make an impact.
Based in George Town, our Penang hub combines soup kitchen operations with food bank services, serving the urban poor and surrounding communities.
Our Perak operations focus on both urban street distributions and reaching rural families in surrounding areas with regular food assistance.
A model of volunteer-powered excellence, our Melaka hub is almost entirely run by committed community volunteers serving local families.
Based in Johor Bahru, our southern hub provides soup kitchen services and medical support to street communities in the area.

No! While we love regular volunteers, there's no commitment required. You can join as often or as rarely as your schedule allows.
If you're joining us for multi-location distributions or outreach work, having your own vehicle helps us serve more communities efficiently. We understand this isn't possible for everyone, which is why we also offer alternatives like interviews, data work, or in-office support that don't require transport. Let us know what works for you, and we'll find the right fit.
Absolutely! We welcome corporate teams, student groups, families, and friend groups. Maximum 20 people per group. Please give us advance notice to coordinate.
We don't recommend it due to the physical nature of some activities and outdoor conditions.
Yes, students are always welcome! However, we understand transport is often a challenge, so we've created an alternative pathway.
If you'd like to interview our staff or beneficiaries for your academic work, we ask that you contribute to KSK in one of these ways: purchase handmade cookies from our Empowerment programme (which directly funds single mothers' income), or make a monetary donation. This contribution sustains our work whilst enabling us to support your research. In exchange, you'll gain valuable insights from real stories, and your work helps amplify our mission.
To get started, fill out our interview request form and let us know what you're working on.
Have a skill to share? No matter how much time you can offer, your contribution makes a real difference. Get involved today and put your skills to good use.
